Project 6: Doodles Upon Doodles

We all doodle....but this project needs you to doodle on top of your doodles! You could do a tissue / velum overlay....washy doodle with doodles over it...or however you can imagine it!

It was an extremely blustery, March day and as I sat watching the wind blow the trees and the clouds scudding by I grabbed what I had on hand and double-doodled this.

Project 5: Old Made New

Put a well known work of art in a modern day context

Matisse is my fav. artist...and I have always loved Egyptian Curtain(pictured on the left).  Here is my take on on the work.  I used Colored Pencils & Water Color Pencils

This painting, La Vie, by Picasso, was the 1st painting I actually "connected" with at the National Gallery way back in high school, I have spent many hours with this painting, it is probably my #1 favorite. I used marker and did a very literal interpretation.
